Product Overview

CM Aquatechnik supplies polypropylene (PP) melt-blown spun cartridge filters in standard 10″, 20″, 30″, and 40″ lengths for industrial and food-grade fine filtration from 1 to 100 micron. Thermally bonded construction provides absolute-rated filtration with no fibre migration — critical for RO pre-treatment and food/beverage applications.

For large flows of up to 100 m³/h per element, pleated high flow filter cartridges are usually the more economical choice.

Frequently asked questions

Which micron rating should I choose for PP spun cartridges?

The cartridges are available in 1, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50 and 100 µm absolute ratings, and the right choice depends on the particle size to be removed and the equipment to be protected. Finer ratings such as 1 or 5 µm are commonly used directly upstream of RO membranes or for final filtration, while coarser ratings serve as pre-filters to extend the life of finer stages.

Will these cartridges fit my existing filter housing?

The cartridges have a standard outer diameter of 2.5″ (63 mm), are supplied in 10″, 20″, 30″ and 40″ lengths and are designed as drop-in replacements for all major housing brands. To ensure a correct fit, please check the required end cap type: polypropylene DOE, SOE or 222/226 bayonet.

When should PP spun cartridges be replaced?

Cartridges should be replaced when the differential pressure across the filter rises to the limit defined for your process, and always well before the maximum of 3.5 bar at 20 °C is reached. The graded density construction provides a high dirt-holding capacity and therefore long service intervals. In food, beverage and drinking water applications, regular replacement intervals are also recommended for hygienic reasons.

What information do you need for a quotation?

Please tell us the required micron rating, cartridge length and end cap type, the core material, the quantity needed (bulk packs of 12, 24 or 60 are available), the fluid to be filtered, the operating temperature and flow rate, and the brand and model of your filter housing. Send us your requirements and we will prepare a proposal within 48 hours.
