Product Overview

CM Aquatechnik supplies single and multi-bag filter housings in 316L stainless steel for industrial liquid filtration from 1 to 800 micron. Side-entry design allows tool-free bag element replacement under pressure without disconnecting the housing from the pipe. Available in single-bag (Nº 1 and Nº 2 standard bags) and multi-bag configurations up to 12 bags for high-flow applications.

Bag filters are often installed upstream of high flow filter cartridges to remove coarse solids and extend cartridge life.

Frequently asked questions

How do I select the right filtration rating for a bag filter?

Filter bags are available from 1 to 800 µm, and the rating should be chosen according to the particle size you need to remove and the equipment you want to protect downstream. A common approach is to use bag filters for coarse solids upstream of finer cartridge filters to extend cartridge life. The bag media (polypropylene, polyester, nylon or PTFE) is selected for chemical and temperature compatibility with your liquid.

How many filter bags do I need?

The number of bags depends on the flow rate, viscosity and solids load of the liquid. Single-bag housings with No. 1 or No. 2 standard bags cover smaller flows, while multi-bag housings with up to 12 bags handle flows up to 800 m³/h. Correct sizing keeps the pressure drop low and ensures practical bag change intervals.

How are the filter bags changed?

The side-entry design allows tool-free bag replacement without disconnecting the housing from the pipework, and quick-release clamp closures are available for even faster access. A pressure differential indicator port lets you monitor bag loading, so bags can be changed when the differential pressure reaches the specified limit.

What information do you need for a quotation?

Please tell us the liquid to be filtered, the flow rate, viscosity, operating temperature and pressure, the required filtration rating and expected solids load, the preferred connection size and type, and the required housing material and surface finish, including any hygienic or pharmaceutical requirements. Send us your requirements and we will prepare a proposal within 48 hours.
