Product Overview
CM Aquatechnik supplies stainless steel screw conveyors, belt conveyors, and compactors for transporting screenings, grit, and dewatered sludge cake from wastewater treatment headworks and sludge handling areas. Designed for odorous and corrosive wastewater solids, all units are constructed in SS304/316L with covered troughs and IP68 motors.
Frequently asked questions
Should I choose a screw conveyor or a belt conveyor?
Screw conveyors are fully enclosed, which prevents odour release, and suit screenings, grit and sludge cake over lengths of 1–30 m at inclinations of up to 45°. Belt conveyors are suited to longer distances of up to 100 m at inclinations of up to 30°, so the right choice depends on the material, the route and the space available.
Which materials are used and why?
Troughs and tubes are made of stainless steel 304 or 316L, with 316L as the standard for wastewater duties and supplied pickled and passivated. This construction resists corrosion from hydrogen sulphide and acids, which are typical in screenings and sludge handling areas.
How does a screenings compactor reduce disposal costs?
The integrated compactor dewaters and compresses the screenings, reducing their volume by 4–6 times before disposal. Less volume means fewer container changes and lower transport and disposal effort.
What information do you need for a quotation?
Please provide the type of material and the required capacity in m³/h, its moisture content or bulk density if known, the conveying length and lift or inclination, the feed and discharge points, the installation area (indoor or outdoor, ATEX zone if applicable) and whether compaction is required. Send us your requirements and we will prepare a proposal within 48 hours.
